Chairman of Morgan Property Group
Mr. Morgan is the founder and Chairman of Morgan Property Group. With over thirty-five years in the business, he has focused the efforts of Morgan Property Group on small and medium-sized office buildings, shopping centers, and freestanding retail projects. There is particular emphasis on repeat build-to-suit projects for national credit tenants, such as Publix, Walgreens, McDonald’s, Starbucks, Wendy’s, KFC, Bank of America, and 7-Eleven. The Company provides a full range of development services, including site selection; architectural and civil engineering review; governmental applications and approvals; and construction supervision and tenant improvement coordination from ground up to opening. The Company also provides leasing and property management services for office building and shopping center properties. Morgan Property Group has offices in Fort Lauderdale, FL and Charlotte, NC. Development projects have been completed or are under construction throughout Florida, and the Mid-Atlantic states of Maryland, Washington D.C., North and South Carolina. Additional projects are pending in Georgia & Alabama.
Morgan Property Group is further engaged in investment real estate brokerage. Triple net leased, credit tenant properties from across the country, that meet an investor's specific criteria, are identified, analyzed, and contracted for. In addition, the Company is able to identify both on and off the market assets for acquisition, and provide development and leasing services, if needed, to reposition outdated properties.
A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Mr. Morgan graduated from Washington & Lee University in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He moved to Fort Lauderdale in 1971, after serving as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army for two years, including a tour of duty in Viet Nam. He is a licensed real estate broker in Florida, Virginia, and North Carolina. Mr. Morgan currently serves as a governor appointee to the Board of Directors of the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority, and previously served for two years as Chairman of the Broward Workshop. He also serves on the Florida Governmental Affairs Committee of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). He has been a member of the Board of Trustees for the Fort Lauderdale Museum of Discovery and Science and works with numerous local charities.
